Toronto FC announced Tuesday that they have officially waived American midfielder Johann Smith effective immediately. Johann Smith joined Toronto from English Premier League side Bolton in August of 2008, and went on to make 14 appearances for the club. The move could be a pre-cursor to the signing of Canadian striker Ali Gerba, whos rights were acquired by TFC in the trade that sent Nick Garcia to Toronto. What do you think of the move?
