Reports out of England are suggesting that 20-year-old former Arsenal defender Tomas Cruise is headed to the New England Revolution on trial.
The 20-year-old made one first team appearance for Arsenal in an UEFA Champions League match against Olympiakos after leaving the club when his contract expired, last summer.
Cruise has 6 caps to date with the England U-19′s and was successful on loan at League One club Carlisle United in the 2010-2011 campaign.
The former U-19 international also reportedly went on trial at Italian Serie B club Sampdoria, who were impressed with his ability, but decided against signing the young defender.
Cruise is expected to feature in the Revolution’s upcoming friendlies against LA and New York as New England assess the former starlet’s fitness. Cruise has played as a central defender, left back and left sided midfielder since joining the Arsenal academy in 2007.
